On Tuesday morning, the president of the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Charles Andrew Tang, stated during an interview in the program Agriculture BR, broadcast by the Boi Channel, that the embargoes on Brazilian beef exports can be revoked soon.

Tang stated during the interview that the Mapa (Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply) has committed to take rapid measures in accordance with the sanitary protocol between Brazil and China. This would demonstrate the high level of commitment of the Brazilian government to rehabilitate trade with the Asian country.

According to him, there are 70 refrigerators waiting to receive the SIF-China label (which allows the industry to export meat to the Asian country) and between 18-20 units should be authorized soon.

During an interview with journalist Fabiano Reis, Charles Andrew Tang stated that the Chinese have a great appreciation for Brazilian beef. Many steakhouses in China manage to attract their customers by the abundant variety of meats and the superior quality of this type of cut.

According to the report, China is not able to produce enough volumes, and there are not many other options in international trade to replace Brazil as a supplier.
